Fastest Man Alive right? You’d think Barry Allen wouldn’t always be at the back of the line waiting for hot dogs. Well, you’d be right. He wasn’t. Anymore he whipped by fixed his dog and was halfway across town while the change he left to pay for the dog was still spinning. He imagined the sight of him standing at the back of the line in his red Flash suit waiting to get a hot dog. It was a smile worthy sight. Silly if he was being honest. It wouldn’t make for a bad photo op though. Earn some more good PR points with the public of Central City.
A red streak raced up the side of a building. Barry sat on the ledge of the roof and started to chow down when he heard a siren in the distance. He’d managed to take all of two bites that he could chew slow and savor like a normal person. His red clad shoulders sagged as he finished the hotdog and was zipping off after the sound of trouble, streaks of yellow lightning trailing behind him.
On the way Cisco relayed what information he was able to skim from the police radio. There was a robbery in Downtown. The Royal Flush gang was in town and decided to hit Mercury Labs for something. It would seem Mercury Labs had a laser cannon on their 13th floor too that they had turned on the cops who’d answered a silent alarm installed in the building. Why do they have a laser cannon on the 13th floor? Barry was up there in a, dare it be said, flash. But they were anticipating him. While the big laser was aimed out and down at the police, Ace and Jack had rigged a smaller beam to their guns. Barry didn’t even bother thinking about that possibility. Getting to floor 13 rewarded him with a concussive force not only surprising him but knocking him back into the stairwell where he tumbled down a flight of stairs. Above him the door came open and he heard Ace and Jack following after him.

Bianca was still extremely new to all of this vigilante business. She wanted to do her part in helping to make Central City a better place but she was ill-prepared to do so. She didn't have a police scanner or any sort of equipment like that. However, she did hear the sirens and had been kicked back in her apartment having some leftover chicken salad when the live news bulletin came on the television. Her eyes went wide immediately and she dropped her plate (which was paper, thankfully) on the coffee table as she stood up, hurrying over to the sliding glass door and pulling it open. Her three dogs, Domino the Dalmatian, Samson the German Shepherd, and Goliath the Shih Tzu (what? He wanted a big name too...) came practically pouring into the place, yammering on about the excitement of the sirens. To anyone else, it would have sounded like a bunch of soft barking and howling and baying but Bianca heard every word as if she were listening to a trio of humans.
"Yeah, I know the Royal Flush Gang is supposed to be dangerous," she told them, pulling her hair back at the nape of her neck as she hurried to her bedroom. "But that doesn't mean I shouldn't do my part. I have you guys to help me, right?" She went to her closet and grabbed a black hoodie and tossed it onto the bed before going to her dresser and opening the top drawer. A black vinyl mask she had purchased at a costume shop was withdrawn from the drawer and she quickly put it on before getting the hoodie on, zipping it up, and pulling up the hood. "Let's go," she told them, leaving with the dogs out through the sliding glass door.
It didn't escape Bianca's thoughts right then that it would be a lot easier to do this whole hero thing if she had a more efficient way of getting around inconspicuously. A motorcycle maybe? No. A horse! Problem was that most apartment landlords didn't allow horses as pets. She was lucky that Dom and Sam were able to stay with her. She'd have to look into getting a house with some land. She wondered if she could even afford something like that. Maybe on a veterinarian's salary and she wasn't quite there yet.
Thankfully Mercury Labs was actually within a short walking distance of her apartment, so it didn't take her long to get there really. It was the middle of the day, so staying hidden wasn't easy, but she managed to weave her way through shadows and alleys with her animal companions in tow. When they reached the scene of the crime, there was a small crowd of citizens anxiously watching as the police team surrounded the building, one officer shouting at the gang through a megaphone. Her own stomach turned with excitement as she headed for a service entrance around back. She was grateful that she was in good shape as she started jogging up the stairs with the three dogs, though honestly thirteen flights of stairs can knock the wind out of you no matter how healthy a person is.
She came around the corner just in time to see a man in dark red come tumbling down the stairs at her. "Oh, shit!" she cried out, seeing two of the gang members were making their way down the stairs after him. "GO!" she shouted at the dogs as she maneuvered herself in place to catch the guy before he hit the bottom. Samson and Domino tackled Ace and Jack to the floor, and once the two of them were on their backs, Goliath did what he did best... high pitched yipping in their ears. It was something that most people found annoying as hell. Ace groaned and put his hands to his ears but Jack only got pissed off and back-handed the poor pup, sending him flying hard into the wall. This only served to enrage Samson, who with a vicious growl bit into Jack's thigh, eliciting a loud cry of pain from the criminal.
Meanwhile there was a masked, hooded woman staring down at the Flash, who she held cradled in her arms after breaking his fall, in a daze... like he was amazing... like he was Jesus or something. Her Hero.

Barry’s cells heal faster than pretty much anyone’s. So damage is pretty easy for him to get over really. A busted wrist? Give him three hours and he was as good as new. It went for the effects of drugs and toxins too but that was less pertinent to falling down stairs. This awesome little talent though did nothing for the pain of any injury. So that tumble he just took down a flight of stairs hurt like a son of a gun.
The speedster was sure that he was going to be knocked out by whacking his scarlet clad head on the wall or landing at the bottom of the stairs. Barry took a mental note that he should talk to Cisco about some extra padding in the cowl. It didn’t seem like too much to ask really. Develop a foam or something that would be extra shock absorbent. He was usually quicker and smarter than that little knock back made him look. He blamed it on his mid thinking about the hot dog he would have liked to enjoy at normal speed. That’s right. You heard it here first. The evil distracting evil hot dog had knocked the Flash down.
He did not take a blow to the head.
He did not go unconscious.
The Flash was lucky because someone was actually saving him. Somebody, someone he was going to thank too, had caught him at the bottom. They (she actually, seeing as he’s able to make that much out) also sent what looked and sounded like dogs after the Royal Flush Gang in the hall. Barry looked up with a smile at the (presumably) pretty masked lady. “Uh. Thanks.” He then heard the dog give a hurt sound as it was met with Jack's backhand and as much as he would have liked to stay in the arms of the (presumably) pretty masked and hooded girl he was gone in a blur of crimson and gold, back just as soon but now holding the little doggie in his arms.
“He kinda took a hit, but I’m pretty sure he’s gonna be okay.” He offered his rescuer a smile and the dog before he was going back up the stairs. It kinda looked like the dogs had Jack and Ace for the moment. And they didn’t look like they belonged in someone’s purse so they had that going for them. He wouldn’t be gone long. He had a bigger canon to kinda take care of though.
King and Queen were still around. Unluckily for them they had lost the surprise of the smaller weapons. He knew they had at least those. So he was on guard now. He went faster. Scarlet and gold filled up the lab where the last two had kept themselves. He was running around them in a circle. It was supposed to make it harder to see where he was coming. If he built up enough after-image than he could move through the room and they would be none the wiser.
He delivered King his knuckle sandwich first. Queen got tied up with something long and cord-like. Nothing harmful for sure. But it was strong and made for good bonds. He’d made sure to tie it thrice, just to be sure she’d have a bit of extra shock when she tried to get out of it. King, despite drooling under his mask in his sleep got the same treatment. And then he raced back to the get the other two sorted..

Bianca was so mesmerized by the masked vigilante in her arms that she barely even realized what was going on around her. She barely managed to blink in the time that it took the Flash to race off and return with her beloved little guard dog, Goliath. She smiled at him, barely, about to utter a nervous thank you and then he was off again. She was pretty sure her hair would have blown back as he ran off if it hadn't been tucked beneath the hood. The sound of shouting and growling and rustling drew her attention to the dogs fighting Ace and Jack at the top of the stairs. Right. This wasn't the time for hero worship.
She whispered soothingly to the tiny dog in her arms and kissed him before setting him down gently. "Go see if the Flash needs help," she told him, and little Goliath ran yapping back up the stairs and into the room after the crimson-clad hero but seeing as the Flash had the King and Queen already bound, the pup simply bounced after him, eager to be of assistance.
Meanwhile Bianca had rushed up the stairs (at a normal, relatively healthy young human speed I might add). Samson still had a vicious grip on Jack's thigh with his teeth, and although Jack was trying with all his might, he simply could not shake the German Shepherd loose. Domino was facing off against Ace, snarling at him as man and canine spun in circles glaring warningly at each other, like they were doing a little dance, each waiting for the other to make the first move. When suddenly Ace drew a knife and lunged at the dog, Bianca cried out a resounding 'NO!!!' and jumped on his back, arms and legs wrapped around him as she clung to him for dear life. She wasn't heavy or strong enough to bring him down, but she did manage to keep him from stabbing the dog.
"You little bitch!" he growled, trying to free himself of Bianca, but she held on tightly, but it only took him two long strides to reach the wall, after which he turned around and slammed his back against it. She let out a painful cry and her grip on him loosened enough that he reached up and pulled her over his shoulder and slammed her onto the floor hard.

The little yapper was picked up in Barry’s arms on his way out. There was no need to leave the little guy behind he clearly wanted to help, even though Central City’s resident superhero wasn’t sure how. Maybe he could distract the last crook. It only helped the dog’s chances that his little face was hard to ignore and kinda wanted to melt Barry’s super speed heart. But the Flash was going to have to keep it together long enough to finish off the Royal Flush Gang. After that was done. And the Gang were in shackles. He’d have his own permission to ‘awww’
Barry and the dog zipped into the room at the same moment as Bianca in her dark clothing was aggressively flipped over Ace’s shoulders. The speedster set the Shih Tzu down, who immediately started barking, as he then set off for a more aggressive form of crime fighting than he was not comfortable doing with a dog in one arm.
The room entered slow motion, everything almost stopped moving for Barry. The moment Bianca slammed into the floor, a red and yellow blur and furious wind encircled Ace. The robber’s face and body were assailed with a flurry of fists and the occasional knee that were just as fast and furious as the twister around him.
The sound and the red cyclone died down and so did the pained “ows” and “ughs” from Ace before he fell over and groaned against the wall. Flash was at Bianca’s side in dare it be said..a flash. “Are you okay?” Brave girl to run into a building with 4 armed theives. It was admirable and Barry could, wanted to actually, commend her for that. But his brain reminded him that there was still one more. Jack and the third dog.
