With her wealthy parents inattentive at best, Pamela had but plants for company of which she cultivated many, vegetables and flowers alike. Time came, and she went to college — to study botany, naturally — and fell in love, in more ways than one.
[break][break]
A promising botanist and environmentalist, she was on her way to the very top of her field. On her way to make a difference. Her emotionally distant parents couldn’t care much what their daughter was doing with her life, as long as she was out of the house and not shaming them with her embarrassing lectures at their parties about global warming and deforestation.
[break][break]
While studying botanical biochemistry at Central City University, Isley caught the interest of one of her professors, Dr. Jason Woodrue. Being a timid, shrinking violet, she was easily seduced by him. The two worked closely, worked intimately and slowly but surely Pamela fell in love with Dr. Woodrue. Sadly though, Pamela was taken by Woodrue in the worst possible way.
[break][break]
Her trusting nature opened her up to be manipulated by him and he had been secretly taking her research and her toxins from the plants she’d created and stole them, marketing them as his own. When she confronted him about what he had been doing, he injected her with the toxins and left her in the midst of the plants she loved so dearly to die, which would have happened if not for the effects of the particle accelerator.
[break][break]
Unfortunately the toxins had already taken hold and had affected her mind in unforeseen ways that she and the world around her are just now starting to get a glimpse of.

[break][break]
Ivy can shape and manipulate plants, including wood, vines, plants, moss, and parts of the plants, such as leaves, seeds, fruits and flowers. Shecan cause plants to grow, She can use this power for defense and support by growing plants from the ground and make them sprout seeds/fruits/berries, or even to possibly use plant chemicals to heal people or objects or manipulate their properties for a wide range of effects.
[break][break]
[break][break]
Ivy can understand the overall well-being and conditions of plants, as well as fully interpret their emotions and communicate with them.
[break][break]
[break][break]
Ivy is immune to virtually anything humans might consider lethal including bacteria, viruses, fungi, and all forms of poison.
[break][break]
[break][break]
Ever since she was injected with toxins, Ivy's skin has been poisonous to humans; one touch could kill (and it probably will, if not treated immediately by a trained professional). Most people would consider this a curse rather than a power. Ivy can make a conscious effort to will her metabolism to change; her kiss can control, kill, or cure. Her touch can "catalyze violent mood alterations," "electric jolt, overwhelming stupor, loss of focus," or make men fall madly in love with her. Unfortunately, she has yet to gain full control of this ability and is very careful to not touch others unless she intends them harm.
[break][break]
[break][break]
Ivy can use her pheromones to seduce anyone sexually attracted to women, which in effect can work like mind-control. Pheromones may induce a pleasure, or may put subjects into a state of high suggestibility (either of which is useful for limited mind control). Ivy can also use pheromones to slightly stimulate the healing process or (used offensively) cause foes to become disoriented, violent or extremely sick.

Several papers were clutched in her hand as she opened the door to the greenhouse that she had once seen as a safe haven, a retreat, but now one man had tainted that for her. A man that had she thought loved her, but she now realized he only loved himself, his career and power. When she had first met Dr. Woodrue, Pamela had been a bright eyed, innocent young girl with hopes of saving the plant and it was apparent that Dr. Woodrue had taken advantage of her naiveté and trust.
[break][break]
She walked in the middle of the greenhouse, a myriad of plants on either side of her, she normally would have reached out and let her fingers caress their leaves but today, today she was too focused on confronting her lover. She knew he would be in the back of the greenhouse where they had set up a lab, where she had worked so many hours on developing the toxins that he had taken credit for in several journals, the evidence of this in her clutched hands.
[break][break]
She opened the door to the lab, “Did you think I wouldn’t find out?” She watched as his back straightened as he stood up and then turned around to face her.
[break][break]
“What are you going on about, Pamela darling?”
[break][break]
She threw the papers at him one by one, “These…you had no right to publish any of these.” Tears were threatening to spill as her emotions were all over the place, a bitter mix of anger and heartbreak.
[break][break]
His handsome face lacked the loving demeanor that he had used to trick her as he walked closer to her, his whole essence was exuding intimidation instead of the intimacy she had thought was between them. “Oh you poor, stupid girl. Of course I had the right, I was the one who hand-picked you, the most gifted of all of my students to come here in secret, so that I could do just this. Besides, what are you going to do about it? Claim it was your work? No one would ever believe that what those papers reveal was the work of a student.”
[break][break]
She looked up at him, her vision blurred from her tears. “I will go to the Dean of the university. I have work at home…research that fills in all of those holes in these papers.” She was mostly bluffing, yes she had research at home, but nothing significant enough to prove that she was the one who had come up with what he had published.
[break][break]
He glared at her for a moment, something dark and scary in his expression caused a shiver to run down her spine, before he turned around and started messing with something on the desk. “That would be most unfortunate for both of us if you did that, Pamela.” He turned back around and she could see a syringe with bright green liquid in it and she felt her stomach drop and her chest constrict as she realized what he had in his hand.
[break][break]
“Jason…what are you doing?” She started backing away, reaching behind her she opened the door and ran out. Her heart was racing as she got about halfway through the greenhouse before he caught her, tackling her to the ground before pinning her arms above her head and injecting her with the toxins.
[break][break]
“I don’t think you will be telling anyone anything.” He sneered as he took the syringe out of her neck. “It’s really such a shame…you were quite impressive in more ways than one.” He leaned down and kissed her roughly, bruising her lips as she tried to fight him before she could feel the toxins begin to take effect.
[break][break]
“Yes, your serum here really does work quickly. Too bad…we could have had so much more fun together.” He pushed himself off of her and wiped the syringe off, placing it in her hands to ensure her prints were the only ones before he stood up looking down at her. “I suppose I will have to find another assistant to help me, though I’m not sure I will find one as enthusiast as you.”
[break][break]
The last thing Pamela saw before she passed out from the toxins was him walking out of the greenhouse, leaving her to die.
