He got by contracting out as a precognizant consultant for private investigators and occasionally the Central City Police. His abilities were merely a combination of extremely honed perception, investigative ability, and clever manipulation. While his advice led to the resolution of several criminal cases, Greene eventually misstepped and his lies resulted in the death of a kidnapping victim.[break][break]
Reputation irreparably damaged, he was no longer able to financially support himself as an independent contractor. That's when Greene discovered that his talents flourished in a sales environment. He was hired immediately by the Psychic Friends Network as a telephone specialist due to his "impressive" resume. His charismatic demeanor and the record-breaking high demand for his telephone persona led him onto the fast track to success. The inevitable thump and resulting squeak of poorly maintained wheels had his head turning almost against his will. He adjusted his expression accordingly, a beguiling smile parting his lips. The particle accelerator had exploded last night, in stunning geo and pyro-technic display. To be honest, after one too many drinks while working and binge watching the Ancient Aliens stream on his second computer monitor, he had been under the assumption that aliens were finally establishing total dominance of his planet. She insisted upon a precognitive reading, wanting to know if she was going to get "lucky" at the community center this evening line dancing. He wasn't even entirely sure how the woman line danced in her condition, but he supposed that was the universe's way of supplying material for Unsolved Mysteries. After her very specific demand, his mind had run away from him in a rather vivid daydream. He had blurted out the contents of his imagination that were quite unlike his typical careful machinations. The experience had left him light-headed and quite frankly after his day he just wanted to go to bed.
