My father was arrested for my mom's murder and is currently still held in Iron Heights. Everyone. The cops, the shrinks, they all told me what I saw was impossible.

I've spent my life looking for the impossible, until the explosion of the S.T.A.R. Labs particle accelerator exploded and I was hit by lighting. It made me the impossible. I have to keep my dual identities a secret, to protect the people I love. But with these powers, and my friends like the team at STAR Labs and Detective Joe West I nowwatch over Central City like a speeding scarlet guardian angel. Protecting the city and everyone in it from metahuman and human threats alike. I'm Barry Allen and now I'm the Fastest Man Alive, I'm The Flash.

Superhuman speed: After the accident, Barry gained superhuman speed. It allows him to move much faster than any normal human. Although his top speed is unknown, he can run at least at Mach 1.1 (837 mph/1347 km). The intensity of his speed allows him to run vertically up surfaces like buildings and even over large bodies of water. He can also vibrate his entire body to mask himself from others and even distort his vocal cords to disguise his voice. Since regaining his speed after Blackout siphoned it, he has been seen outrunning bolts of electricity (5 955.075 miles per second/Mach 17.5K) as a result of his cells producing even more energy than before.[break][break]
Superhuman stamina: Barry's body can handle the stresses of superhuman racing without noticeable distress, and his body's enhanced stamina allows him to function much longer than a normal human.[break][break]
Superhuman reflexes: Barry's increased speed also enhances his reaction time, allowing him to react to events much faster than a normal human. When shot in the neck on his blindside, Barry was able to catch the bullet and minimize damage before it could fully penetrate his body.[break][break]
Accelerated perception: Barry’s speed also extends to his senses and mental capacities, allowing him to take in information and process it at much faster rates than a normal human. This allows Barry to see the world as if it is in slow motion, which, combined with his physical speed, lets him perform thoughts and actions, as well as comprehend things, long before a normal human around him could even perceive them. Against fellow speedster like Harrison Wells, despite his enemy's superior reflexes and raw quickness, Barry is still able follow and essentially keep up with Wells' movements.[break][break]
Rapid cellular regeneration: Another effect of Barry’s augmented speed is his dramatically heightened healing capacities. In the event that he is injured, his body undergoes rapid cell regeneration, allowing him to heal much faster than a normal human. After breaking his wrist while testing his new-found speed, Barry made a full recovery within three hours with no lingering effects or even signs of it having ever happened. His body also has a heightened resistance, if not immunity, to any drugs, toxins, and poisons. He drank several shots of alcohol in a second and felt nothing, and even when Caitlin and Cisco made him a special 500 proof alcohol to drink, he was only intoxicated for less than a minute before the effects wore off. Similarly, when The Arrow shot him with an arrow syringe full of 2,000mg of horse tranquilizer, Barry was only momentarily affected until he moved his cells so quickly that the sedatives were literally pushed out of his body in a green vapor.[break][break]
Extreme force generation: Through generation of momentum via his extreme acceleration, he is able to propel himself through the air and create substantial frictional force with any object he comes into contact with, as seen when he jumped 10-15 feet in the air to collide with a piece of debris to save Joe West. This also can set his regular clothing on fire, cast embers or smoking. or sometimes the clothing of others who are moving with him, all due to the extreme friction force generated while accelerating. Alternatively, his enhanced speed lets him manifest his enhanced force into powerful strikes, often propelling objects or people several feet. While this does not enhance his strength, it greatly increasing the force behind his hits. The more he accelerates his movement, the more force he generates, enough to disable a meta-human who could become as strong and hard as steel.[break][break]
Time travel: In the future, Barry will be able to move so fast that he can travel backwards and forwards through time. Arguably his speed's most powerful facet, this means he can alter events that have occurred, allowing him to tamper with the flow of time and possibly create new timelines. However, Barry has as of yet, not explored or discovered this ability.[break][break]
Phasing: Barry has the capacity to vibrate his molecules so quickly that he can achieve intangibility for short bursts allowing him to phase through objects.[break][break]
Vortex Creations: The Flash can plant himself on the ground and rotate his extremities to cause an incredible amount of wind to burst through their focused funnel. Creatively, Barry can create tornadoes and gusts with his arms.


Skills[break]
High-level intellect: Barry is very intelligent. From a young age, he quickly showed a natural understanding and quick capacity to learn, making it hard for his foster-father Joe to help him with homework by the time he was twelve. Barry is also a very well-read individual. As a forensic officer, Barry has repeatedly been able to quickly analyze any given data and quickly form accurate theories on the given situation. With The Arrow, Barry correctly determined The Arrow's training background from his green attire, and that The Arrow has at least one accomplices.[break][break]
Forensic expert: Despite only being a forensic science assistant, Barry is a highly skilled forensics examiner. From a single glance of the crime scene, he can quickly determine much of the events that transpired.[break][break]
Chemistry expert: Barry's knowledge and skill in chemistry is very advanced, shown when he was terrified that nitric acid was next to hydrazine, and permanganates on top of acetone in the lab at Queen Consolidated, describing all 4 chemicals as the definition of dangerous. He was also able to cure Oliver Queen using only a small amount of rat poison after he was injured by Cyrus Gold and consequently dosed with a blood coagulant. This skill was also demonstrated when he used unknown types of chemicals to make a compressible micro-fabric green domino mask for Oliver, so he could conceal his identity more effectively than the grease paint Oliver was previously using without affecting Oliver's sight and, by extension, his aim.[break][break]
Hand-to-hand combatant: Despite not having much skills and experience in unarmed combat, Barry's superhuman speed, and reflexes combined with his intelligence makes him a formidable opponent alone. In "Flash vs. Arrow", he was able to fight Oliver as an equal (albeit Oliver was trying not to hurt him), despite the latter being more skilled and experienced in unarmed combat then he is.[break][break]
Skilled tactician: Barry is a capable tactician.[break][break]
Singing: While not a fan of it and being quite modest about it, Barry is shown to be a very quality singer.

The first thing that Barry had done that morning after chowing down on one of Cisco’s protein bars, or three, was visit S.T.A.R. Labs. There was a metahuman with the ability to control playing cards. Causing them to fly about, even cut people. It was freaky weird and they were still trying to determine how it worked beyond some level of telekinesis. Cisco was calling him Double Down. Well, there was nothing new on Double Down and so Barry left Caitlin and Cisco to their work while he zipped off to meet with Iris.

The sun was out that morning, and it was bright despite the cold, crisp air. In the warm months Central City had the best sunny days. If you were down by the water, the seaside air was amazing and refreshing. But no matter the time of year there was nothing like running free. Running so free that not even the tallest buildings or the deepest sea was an obstacle. It was the kind of freedom Barry Allen knew very well. How does he run that free? Simple answer there. He’s the Fastest Man Alive. The Flash. Zipping through the streets Barry kept a look out for trouble. He was supposed to meet up with Iris at Jitters and had been at a crime scene across town. He loved his job, he loved helping catch the bad guys and putting them in Iron Heights, but at the same time some things can be kinda gruesome. These were guys he really wanted to put away bad. He stops by the The Flash came to a stop a few blocks away in a shaded alley where he could change out of his costume and into his normal street clothes. Its a whirl of red and gold that shifts to colors on the the end of the spectrum. His faded blue t shirt. He makes sure everything is on straight before the vortex of color stops and rather than the Flash, Barry Allen leave the alley.
[break][break]Walking the last few blocks to Jitters, Barry smiles and so does Iris as they meet inside. She has a cup of coffee for them each and Barry realizes it only a second before Iris says something.

“Where is your coat?” Iris asks him when he comes up to her.

“Huh?” It took Barry a second to notice he’d left his coat behind before he’d zipped away from STAR Labs faster than most people can blink. “Uh...”He began to stall before he realized that the honest truth really worked here. He didn’t like having to lie about who he was or what he did to anyone, especially Iris. But he also realized it was necessary to hide himself for the better of his friends and family, to protect them. “I forgot it, I was in a rush to get here.” Not only was it true it was something believable. With an old habit of being notoriously late one would believe he’d be in a hurry to make it on time.
